A great immune shot
This shot provides multiple health benefits and is a great start to your day. With ingredients that support the immune system and your detox organs (including liver and kidneys). It’s all in the ingredients, namely ginger, turmeric, lemon, black pepper and a drop of Zendocrine essential oil blend.
Okay very honest, this shot is not the most delicious juice you can think of. The taste of ginger and turmeric is pretty strong. Fortunately, this juice is meant to be drunk as a shot! And… some people do like the taste. Or the warm feeling the shot leaves in your body.
Benefits of Turmeric
Turmeric is the golden yellow spice you commonly see in powder form. It is widely used in Indian cuisine in curries and has been used for thousands of years for its medicinal health benefits. When looking for fresh turmeric you can often find it in organic supermarkets. The roots look a bit like ginger, but are smaller. When you cut open the turmeric it reveals a bright orange-yellow color.
Turmeric is known for its many health benefits and much research has been done especially on the active ingredient curcumin. For example, curcumin increases the antioxidant capacity in our bodies, which in turn protects us from free radicals and therefore can slow down the aging process. Turmeric also has an anti-inflammatory effect and seems to have a positive effect on several disease states, including cardiovascular disease, but also on the health of our brain.
We add black pepper to activate the effect of curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric). In addition, black pepper itself also has a positive influence on digestion and provides valuable antioxidants.

Benefits of ginger
Ginger has the same antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits as turmeric. But in addition, ginger has also been used for centuries to support digestion. Ginger speeds up gastric emptying and seems to work effectively for nausea, bloating as well as stomach pain. It also helps with fighting infections in our body.
Extra detox support
To give this shot an extra boost, we add a drop of Zendocrine essential oil. This is optional, but does give your juice extra detox support. Zendocrine is a blend of Rosemary, Coriander, Juniper, among others, which are known to support the liver and kidneys (our main detox organs). But also Mandarin and Geranium, which help to rid the body of waste products. The blend is rich in antioxidants and a single drop in your shot will provide wonderful support.
